Amar Nijjar

Amar is an Engineer by education and holds an MBA in Real Estate & Finance from York University. He is an entrepreneur at heart and believes in creating opportunities that lift the lives of his employees and clients. After spending 10 years in Investment banking and Corporate Finance at CIBC, BMO and Royal Bank - Amar was recruited by JLL where he quickly became # 1 Broker (across all business lines) and was then promoted to EVP and Practice Lead rank. Amar has over $20 billion of CRE Debt & Equity transaction experience working both in US and Canada. Amar believes in giving back to the needy and has set up various fund raisers for underprivileged children living in Orphanages around the world through the Educate initiative. Initially, he started Educate to help orphaned kids with disabilities in Lima, Peru and since then expanded it to Bogota, Colombia. He likes to stay fit and enjoys mountain biking in the summer, skiing in the winter and maintains a daily gym routine.
